Finishing Out the West Kingdom Trilogy

Garphill Games has launched a Kickstarter campaign for the final game in its West Kingdom trilogy, Viscounts of the West Kingdom.  The game is designed by Shem Phillips and S J MacDonald with artwork provider by Mihajlo Dimitrievski (The Mico).  The game supports 1-4 players, ages 12 and up, and takes 60-90 minutes.

In Viscounts of the West Kingdom, the players' goal is to have the most victory points at the end of the game.  To score those points, players begin the game with only a few followers, but must increase their influence throughout the kingdom by constructing buildings, working in the castle, gaining new lands and writing manuscripts.  According to the Kickstarter page, the game offers "unique gameplay experience, blending deck-building, tableau-building and rondel movement, with a lot of interesting and tough decisions to make each turn."

In addition to the base game, The West Kingdom Tomesaga which introduces co-op and campaign scenarios, is available through the Kickstarter campaign.  The rulebooks for both the base game and the tomesaga are available on the Kickstarter page for those who are interested in reading them before they pledge to the already funded campaign.
