Fight for Wakanda in two different Legendary ways
Upper Deck hit the board game scene with a 10-ton hammer (insert your own Mjolnir joke here) when it released Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game, designed by Devin Low. Over the years there has been plenty of content released in the form of character expansions, story expansions, and a villain based spin-off game. Now, Upper Deck has announced two more expansions coming in 2022.
Marvel Legendary: Black Panther is a 100 card expansion focusing on T’challa, otherwise known as the Black Panther. In addition, there are four other new heroes including Queen Storm, Princess Shuri, and General Okoye. There are two new masterminds to face off against and their supporting villain groups to block your path. The ‘Ambush’ keyword makes its first appearance on hero cards in this set and we also have the ‘Empowered’ ability first seen in the ‘Civil War’ expansion. Marvel Legendary: Black Panther is scheduled to be released into retail on August 3rd, 2022.
While Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game was originally based on the Marvel Comics books, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has started to make its presence known in the game. Legendary: Marvel Studios Phase I was released in 2018 and now Upper Deck has announced the release of Legendary: Marvel Studios - The Infinity Saga. The Infinity Saga is a 100 card expansion that introduces new heroes, new mastermind and villain sets based on the events in the Infinity Saga films, including Thanos and the Black Order. Legendary: Marvel Studios – The Infinity Saga is set to release into retail on October 19th 2022.
