Family Games Make a Return - Just in Time for the Holidays
As the holidays approach, there is a resurgeance of games that are highly accessible in the family game market. First up, Rummikub is coming out in a new edition called Rummikub Onyx, that is available through Amazon. For those unfamiliar with the game, which plays 2-4 players, ages 8 and up in about 30 minutes, Rummikub uses tiles instead of cards as the players attempt to get rid of their hands. The Rummikub Onyx edition features black tiles instead of the traditional white from the original game. The tiles are engraved with bright colors to make them easy to read.
Unsolved Case Files allows you and your friends to investigate crimes from the comfort of your own home. The game is designed by John Carroll and published by Pressman Toy Company. Currently, there are 2 case files available at WalMart. This game can be played solo or with up to 8 players, ages 14 and up, in 2-4 hours. Players will pore over the evidence including crime scene photographs, witness statements, suspect interrogations, newspaper articles and more in an attempt to find out ‘who done it.’
Enjoy spending time with your family and have fun gaming!
