Grand Gamers Guild has announced a Kickstarter campaign for an expansion to its game The Artemis Project, entitled The Artemis Project: Satellites & Commanders. The expansion is designed by Daniel Rocchi, who co-designed the original game, with artwork provided by Cristian Romero. The Artemis Project: Satellites & Commanders supports 1-5 players, ages 14 and up, and takes around 45 minutes to play. In order to play the expansion, players must own the base game.
In The Artemis Project: Satellites & Commanders, players are attempting to build their colonies under the ice and explore the surface of Europa as well as the seas beneath utilizing a dice placement mechanism. This expansion adds orbiting platforms which allow the players to affect the situation on the moon and also to promote new leaders among the ranks of their workers. These leaders can act as any of the colonist types, lending power to the dice the players send to the different locations, and boost a player’s end game scoring.
This fully-funded Kickstarter campaign has about 10 days to go at the time of this writing. The Artemis Project: Satellites & Commanders is expected to deliver in May 2023.
