Into Espionage? Have We Got a Game for You!
Jay Cormier, co-designer of such diverse games as Belfort, Akrotiri, and Junk Art, has announced that his new company, Off the Page Games, will be publishing Mind MGMT: The Pyschic Espionage Game in 2020. According to the press release for the game, it is based on the NY Times best-selling comic book, MIND MGMT, by Matt Kindt. This game features all new art as well as numerous mini-comic books that are revealed as you play the game.
MGMT: The Pyschic Espionage Game is a deduction game designed for 2-5 players, one of whom controls Mind MGMT, while the other players are rogue agents trying to deduce the path that the Mind MGMT player has taken and try and prevent that player from gaining more recruits to their cause. Sen-Foong Lim, who co-designed this game, said that this game will introduce the SHIFT system, "At the end of each game, whichever side loses, they get to open a package which will give them more components, cards and rules to give them a better chance the next time they play."
