Enter the Matrix in the next Legendary Encounters release

Upper Deck Entertainment originally announced Legendary Encounters: The Matrix at GenCon 2022, but has released more information recently.

The Legendary series of games includes a variety of deckbuilding titles built around intellectual properties, most notably Marvel, where players are assembling a deck of heroes to defeat a villain's scheme. Legendary Encounters is the cooperative variation, taking the deckbuilding formula and adding specific scenarios pulled from the intellectual properties. The prior entries in the Legendary Encounter series include Alien, Predator, Firefly, and X-Files. Now, Legendary Encounters: The Matrix will allow players to cooperatively take on villains from the Matrix trilogy. Characters from The Matrix that will appear in the game include Neo, Morpheus, Trinity, Niobe, Agent Smith, the Merovingian, the Twins, and the Sentinels. 

Can you save the human race from extinction? Legendary Encounters: The Matrix should hit stores in Spring 2023.
