Daybreak, a cooperative game about climate action, is coming to BackerKit
Matt Leacock, designer of Pandemic, along with Matteo Menapace are co-designing Daybreak, a cooperative game about climate action. Each player controls a world power and together, they must contend with emerging crises, in pursuit of net zero global emissions. The world powers have special abilities, making them better at certain facets of the game, reminiscent of Pandemic. Emissions will increase the global temperature and intensify crisis events that put citizens of the world in peril. If the global temperature gets too high or if too many people are endangered by crises, then the players lose. The world powers can develop technologies and deploy policies to reduce emissions and protect the citizenry.
