Cryptid is Creeping Back

Osprey Games has announced a 2-player only sequel to its hit game Cryptid, Cryptid: Urban Legends.  The game is again designed by the duo of Ruth Veevers and Hal Duncan, with illustrations again provided by Kwanchai Moriya.  As mentioned, the game is for 2 players only, ages 14 and up, and plays in 20-40 minutes.

Cryptid: Urban Legends is described as a “tense asymmetrical game” as one player takes on the role of a cryptozoologist and the other is the cryptid.  It is a high stakes cat-and-mouse chase set not in a beautiful landscape as in the previous game, but in the streets of your local neighborhood.  Use your deductive reasoning to emerge victorious!

Cryptid: Urban Legends joins Osprey’s line of small box games.  It is anticipated to be released in April 2022.  For more information about the game, be sure and Osprey’s game announcement here.
