Crossroads Game Forgotten Waters Announced by Plaid Hat Games

Fresh on the heels of the earlier announcement this week that it will be re-acquired by its original founders, Plaid Hat Games has announced Forgotten Waters - the latest in the Crossroads Games series that most famously includes Dead of Winter.  Forgotten Waters is designed by Isaac Vega and J. Arthur Ellis, while also featuring the writing talents of one Mr. Bistro.  

In Forgotten Waters, players taken on the role of Pirates while attempting to further their own personal stories while working together towards a common goal by exploring exotic locales, raiding merchant ships and burying treasure (ya know, pirate stuff).  On each turn, players will place their pirates on actions spaces in order of their infamy - the more infamous and dastardly your pirate, the more options you will have.  Actions advance the storyline, provide necessary supplies for the crew and allow players increase their stats - which will be needed to unlock their pirate's best possible ending.  A web app is included which provides scenarios and the crossroads moments, all without the need to flip through a rule book.  The game also can be played with up to seven players!
