CMoN and Rob Daviau are reuniting for Stranger Things
As part of the Dice Tower Summer Spectacular Mega Announcement Video, publisher CMoN revealed their upcoming release Stranger Things: Upside Down, a cooperative board game by Rob Daviau, in which players try to save Hawkins from the Upside Down. Stranger Things: Upside Down is scheduled for a retail release in 2023.
Daviau and CMoN previously teamed up for the cooperative adventure Cthulhu: Death May Die, co-designed by Eric Lang. Daviau's other designs include the Pandemic Legacy series (Season 1, Season 2, and Season 0), Mountains of Madness, and ShipShape.
Stranger Things is the streaming phenomenon on Netflix, that earlier this summer released its fourth and penultimate season. The ensemble show, set in the 1980s, centers around a group of teenage friends that play Dungeons & Dragons, and who must save their small Indiana town, and by extension the world, from the Upside Down, a dark parallel dimension. But the friends are not alone in their efforts, both befriending and teaming up with a child with supernatural powers.
