Carcassone Hunters and Gatherers

“A mammoth herd stomps across the grasslands to drink from a crystal-blue river. Cunning hunters watch from the trees, waiting for the right moment to strike. Looming stone monuments, menhirs, encircle a peaceful forest clearing, while fisherfolk set traps in a distant lake.”

Z-Man Games with designers Klaus-Jürgen Wrede and Bernd Brunnhofer have announced the return of the popular stand-alone edition of Carcassonne: Hunters and Gatherers. Originally released in 2002, Hunters and Gatherers has proven to be one of the most popular variations on the classic tile laying game Carcassonne, allowing players to connect forests, grasslands and lakes, hunting and fishing to score points. This new edition not only features new art, but also the addition of menhir, Stonehenge-like stone structures, which grant the player bonus tiles. Look for the new Carcassonne: Hunters and Gatherers coming Winter 2021. The game comes with 95 land tiles, 24 covering markers, 5 scoring markers, 50 meeples and 15 huts, as well as rulebook and scoreboard.
