Capstone announces Savannah Park and Riftforce

June 6, 2021 - 3:24pm

Riftforce

Capstone Games will release Riftforce, a two-player, dueling card game by Carlo Bortolini with illustrations by Miguel Coimbra. The game starts with each playing drafting 4 of 10 different guilds, each with their own unique power, to create an asymmetrical alliance between them. Elementals in each guild are the troops and resources necessary for attack so there is a tradeoff between using their powerful combo attacks or gathering support for the next turn. The game features powerful combos between the guilds which influence the strategy and strengths available to players in the deck. The first player to gain 12 Riftforce wins, and games typically last between 20-30 minutes. Riftforce, a 2021 Kennerspiel des Jahres recommendation, will debut this September at Gen Con and Origins in 2021.

Savannah Park

Capstone Games will also release Savannah Park, a tile laying game by Kramer & Kiesling, where players run a park home to wild animals. The game supports 1-4 players, aged 8+, and plays in about 30 minutes. Players must gather each type of animal into large herds, protect them from brush fires, and lead them to watering holes. Each animal can only move once, and opponents can influence that movement.

Antoine Fortuin

Bitten by a common house spider, Antoine emerged with the uncanny ability to buy more games than he had time to play. While living in the hills of Tennessee, USA, he tries to balance software development, family, and his multiple, competing hobbies. He hopes to someday discover a pocket dimension in which to store his games
