Commissioned: The Call Header

Four years ago, Patrick Lysaght and Chara Games published a Bible-based board game, Commissioned, which was given the Dice Tower Seal of Approval.  Lysaght is back with a Kickstarter campaign for an expansion entitled Commissioned: The Call, which is expected to deliverer in August 2021.  The expansion introduces a solo mode to the game, which now plays 1-6 players, ages 14 and up, in 45-75 minutes.

Commissioned saw players using deck-building mechanics in a cooperative manner to grow the early church.  In Commissioned: The Call, new scenarios are introduced that see the players confronting issues inside the church rather than outside it.  The Call also introduces two new apostles, women who had influence in the early church, Phoebe and Priscilla,  as well as a new module, The Chains, which increases the deckbuilding experience of the game and encourages even more player interaction.

This fully funded Kickstarter campaign has about 3 weeks to go at the time of this writing.  The Kickstarter page has further details about the new modules, videos showing how the solo play of the game works and how the base game plays, as well as a complete playthrough using the expansion.  There are multiple pledge levels available both with the base game included and without it.  For more information, check Commissioned: The Call out here.  Delivery of the game is expected in August of next year.
