Tinners Trail

Martin Wallace’s classic game Tinners’ Trail has been taken in hand by Alley Cat Games, in partnership with Martin Wallace, and redesigned for modern game audiences.  The game, which was originally published in 2008, has launched a Kickstarter campaign that is already fully funded.  The new version of the game includes a solo mode, has expanded the player count up to 5 players, showcases beautiful new art by Ossi Hiekkala and Javier González Cava, and features increased strategy while decreasing the luck factor.  The game plays in 60-90 minutes and is designed for players aged 13 and up.

Tinners’ Trail is an economic game in which the players represent companies buying land across Cornwall, mining the profitable tin and copper, while increasing the amount of development across the land in order to offset the ever-increasing costs of mining because the deeper the mine, the more expensive!

Besides the redesigned base game, this Kickstarter campaign also includes 2 new expansions, the Arsenic expansion and the Emigration expansion.  There are also numerous stretch goals as well as a couple of Kickstarter-exclusive promos.  For further information, be sure and check out the Kickstarter page here.  The game is expected to deliver in September 2021.
