An Amazon Exclusive
Renegade Game Studios has announced a new edition of J. Alex Kevern’s World’s Fair 1893, which was originally published in 2016. The new edition of the game is coming out as an Amazon Exclusive. The game will still play 2-4 players, just as the original edition did, ages 10 and up, in about 45 minutes.
In World’s Fair 1893, which features an area control mechanism, the players are attempting to have control of the most different exhibits to score points at the end of the game and prove that they are the best exhibitor.
The new edition introduces a more diverse group of historical personages from the era than the original game did. There are 7 new historical figures introduced including such people as Ida B. Wells, Frederick Douglass, and Frederick Law Olmstead. An historical consultant, Jade R. Rogers, was hired to ensure historical accuracy with regards to the people introduced into the new edition. In the rulebook to the new edition, players will find an historical note she wrote about race at the World's Fair in 1893.
The new edition of World’s Fair 1893 is available for pre-order now through Amazon’s website here. This exclusive edition is due for release on February 26, 2021.
