All Roads Lead to Rome

Holy Grail Games has announced a game set in the comic book world of Asterix entitled Caesar’s Empire, which is designed by Matthieu Podevin, who also designed Titan.  The artwork for the game is supplied by Alexandre Bonvalot and Joëlle Drans.  The game supports 2-5 players, ages 10 and up, and only takes about 20 minutes to play.

Caesar’s Empire is billed as “a family eurogame about building roads leading back to Rome” with a simple ruleset, yet including some strategic depth.  Each time a player builds a road - which must lead back to Rome - they will score points.  The game ends when Rome is connected to every city on the board, all of which provide points and treasure tokens.  The player with the most points wins the game.
