The Castle Beverly Board Game Cafe Heads to Indiegogo

The Castle a soon to be opened board game cafe in Beverly, MA has hit Indiegogo to raise funds for their launch.  At the time of press they are about 1/3 of their way to the goal of $20,000 that they have set.  But they still have well over a month to get the rest of the way to the goal.

with a proposed rate of $5 a day this will be a fairly economical way of getting gaming done in a nice space on the north shore of MA.  from their video and the information on their website you can tell that a lot of thought has been put into presenting this to both gamers and those new to the designer board game hobby as well.  They have posted their game list along with a copy of their menu on their website.  The collection may be humble at hte moment but it is undoubtedly going ot grow quite a bit between now and when they officially open.

You may have noticed that we cover a lot of board game cafes on Dice Tower News (here, here, and here).  That is for a good reason they are as one of our articles earlier this week talked about what will likely keep the idea of an FLGS (that does not solely cater to Magic players) a feasible option.  Our hobby needs to see more of these showing up and this really does offer something great to those that live in the fairly densely populated area around a town like Beverly.
