Fort Sumter is a 2-player, card driven game which portrays the 1860 Secession Crisis that led to the attack on Fort Sumter and the American Civil War. A Unionist player competes against a Secessionist player over 3 rounds, then culminates in a Final Crisis in the confrontation where a winner is determined. In partnership with GMT Games, Playdeck Games will release a digital version to the Android, iOS, and Steam platforms.
“This partnership is an exciting time for us, and we cannot wait to bring the Fort Sumter design from the legendary Mark Herman to the digital space. From We the People to Empire of the Sun, both Playdek and GMT Games have been fans of Herman’s revolutionary game mechanics and gripping gameplay. With Fort Sumter coming to the Mobile and PC platforms, we know you will be fans too!”

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions is debuting Steam PC/Mac and Nintendo Switch.
Steam is set to unroll Feb. 19 and Switch in March with all versions with cross-play ability and linked accounts, so your cards, decks and collectibles will be across all linked platforms.
Warhammer Champions will be moving to landscape as such, and will also apply to the mobile version on Monday.
The Steam version will support card scanning on webcams/laptop cameras, and scanned cards on linked Steam or mobile accounts will be in the Switch version. The Switch version will have full joycon support and playability in docked mode.
Now the game is being released in a digital form on Steam on August 17th, 2018.
“And so the Exodus began… after a war that lasted only 83 days, Earth has been reduced to a nuclear wasteland. Nine factions fled the planet in search of a new home among the stars. Only six survived the journey before encountering the Centaurians, an advanced alien race, who guided the remains of humanity to safety in the Proxima Centauri star system. Now each faction vies for control, exploiting resources and Centaurian technologies, and battling each other to become the leader of the next chapter for the human race.”[source]
Players take control of one of 6 factions and try to grow their empire. The game progresses through a series of turns where players seek to take control of planets and resources, sometimes through direct confrontation. Exodus Proxima: Centauri is a 4x game which includes elements of eXploration, eXtermination, eXploitation, and eXpansion.
The digital game, developed by Offworld Games, will be available on Windows and Mac systems via the Steam store with fairly low system requirements.
“Deep in the darkest dungeon, amongst the clinking chains and screams of their victims, Flaming Fowl and Asmodee Digital have teamed up to make you once again live through the epic journey of Gloomhaven… digitally!
Our development minions are working days and nights so that you can discover or rediscover this one of a kind tactical, turn-based RPG.
In this rogue-like dungeon-crawling adaptation of the famous board game, you will journey through terrifying randomly generated dungeons, fight against increasingly horrific and powerful foes…or die trying.” [source]
The digital adaption of Isaac Childres‘ critically acclaimed board game will play out in a turn-based, rogue-like game with tactical gameplay. No longer do you need to imagine the world of Gloomhaven, as the dungeons and monsters are rendered in stunning 3D graphics.
It’s not clear if the mystery of unlocking the heroes and locations will follow the same system as the board game but it appears that they will all be available. The minimum PC requirements indicates that the game will only work on Windows PC and not Mac computers, though the hardware requirements are fairly minimal. See the Steam product web page for more details.
The special edition is available now as a preorder directly from Fantasy Flight Games. An order for the collectors edition of the card game includes early access (August 28, 2018) to the new digital game on Steam including some in-game bonuses such as unlocked packs and avatars only available to those who pre-order this set.
The “The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game Limited Collector’s Edition” physical bundle will include a complete starter set, a custom playmat, MP3 soundtrack, art prints and your very own One Ring (the power of invisibility is not included). To attract new and experienced players alike, the starter set will feature new artwork on all cards, but will retain complete compatibility with existing sets and expansions. There will also be two new heroes in the set, Thorin Stonehelm and Gildor Inglorion, and two new quests. And for those who really like to set the scene, you’ll get a code to download the score for the digital game that you can use to enhance your game nights.
Now, you can play Scythe on the PC. In association with the Stonemaier Games and Asmodee Digital, The Knights of Unity have developed Scythe Digital Edition. Early access is available now on Steam. Scythe Digital Edition features the same great gameplay and art as the tabletop boardgame. The accompanying soundtrack for each faction in the digital game is as unique as the factions and wonderfully consistent the 1920 alternative history beautifully illustrated by Jakub Rozalski.
While the game is in early access, users may provide feedback to the developer to improve gameplay and features of the game in Steam forums and reviews. The game is expected to remain in early access for the next two to four months. However, the game is fully functional with single-player and local multi-player modes. The game also includes a tutorial and different visual themes. The game is supported in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Polish.
Currently, the Digital Edition features only the base game and does not include any of the expansions. iOS, Android, and other formats planned for later. Go to Steam to learn more about Scythe Digital Edition.
