Machina Arcana ~ From Beyond

Many Kickstarter projects have been launched recently and quite a few are worth having a good look at even though they’re competing against juggernauts such as Starcadia Quest and Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid. If there’s anything left of your gaming budget have a look at these projects.

Draconis Invasion is a competitive, deck-building game, with over 500 cards, which pits 1-6 players against the powers of Draconis who is laying siege to the kingdom along with hordes of of invaders. The expansion adds 300 cards in 12 blind-pack mini-expansions which unlock with every new game to create a progressive story.

The Draconis Invasion: WRATH Kickstarter campaign has pledge levels for backing only the expansion or for getting both the base game and expansion, though this option has limited supply. Machina Arcana ~ From Beyond

Machina Arcana is a cooperative, steampunk horror game for 1-4 players who take on the roles of explorers in dreadful halls. Players who survive the horrors within still face a mini game at the end of each scenario. There are over 250 stories and incidents and the game is designed to deliver a strong, storytelling and role-playing experience without the need for a Dungeon Master. It’s a refreshing theme in that it doesn’t jump on the existing horror bandwagon and offers an interesting world to explore.

There are currently two backer options for the Machina Arcana ~ From Beyond Kickstarter campaign. The first allows you to back only the base game while the Premium Edition adds Kickstarter stretch goals. The campaign ends on Friday, September 28th, 2018 and it’s already reached over 200% of its funding goal. The estimated delivery date is July 2019.

Summoner’s Isle

Summoner’s Isle is a light, portable, area control game, designed to fit into a small box and have minimal setup time. It allows for 2-4 players who are summoners that battle each other using creatures and dominating territory to attain energy. What’s really refreshing about this project is that it’s not a table hog and makes use of tokens to represent units to help keep the game small, without sacrificing a beautiful table presence, by utilizing great graphic design.

A special, Collector’s edition has already been sold out but you can still back the base game on the Summoner’s Isle Kickstarter campaign page. The campaign ends on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 and has reached 75% of its funding goal. Its estimated delivery date is January 2019.

Baa’beel: Welcome to the Neighbourhood
