This December Iello will be releasing a Jun Sasaki game: Kobayakawa.
In feudal Japan, powerful samurai clans battle for dominion over the land. But just being the strongest isn’t enough. The powerful Kobayakawa clan shifts allegiance like the wind, bringing victory to the weak. Do you have what it takes to outsmart them?
This is a bluffing and deduction game where your goal will be to end the round with the highest numbered card. Each player will start with a random card. The rest of the cards will be placed in a pile at the center of the table. The first card will then be flipped face up which will be called the Kobayakawa.
Each round, players take a turn and either discard their card face up in front of them and take a new one from the deck, or turn a card from the deck to replace the current Kobayakawa. After each player has taken a turn, they each decide if they want to compete for this round by putting a crest token on their card. Players that decided to compete then all reveal their card at once and compare their number.
The game can play 3-6 players, ages 9 and up and plays in about 15 minutes. You will have 15 cards, 32 Kamon tokens and a first player token.
