On August 4-7, 2016, Gen Con, North America’s largest hobby gaming convention, will open its doors for another jam-packed, wildly popular series of gaming events and experiences for thousands of gamers and gaming industry professionals. Gen Con continues to expand every year, and it was more than evident at the 2015 convention that more space was critical in order to continue to make more room for those involved in this ever-growing hobby.
Adrian Swartout, Gen Con CEO/Owner, has announced that in 2016, Gen Con will be expanding its convention space to include Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium. According to Swartout, “Gen Con has grown to host nearly 200,000 turnstile attendees, and it is evident that we have to accelerate our growth plans to meet attendee, exhibitor, and event organizer demand. Expansion into Lucas Oil Stadium allows Gen Con to keep offering more gaming, exhibition, and entertainment options each year.”
One of the main events that will be hosted in the stadium will be the popular True Dungeon event, which creates an immersive environment where players can solve puzzles and battle giant monsters.
