Osprey Games is reprinting a game considered one of the greatest board games in British history, Escape from Colditz. This reprinting of the game is also special because it is the 75th anniversary of the real life events that inspired the game. So Osprey Games has gone the extra mile with “completely new art-work painted by fan-favorite historical artist, Peter Dennis. Along with a complete set of wooden pieces, the box will include replicas of prisoner-of-war artifacts from Mr. Degas’ extensive collection!”
The game itself is a prison escape game where one player is the German guards, and the other players are the leaders of various prison groups. Throughout the game the prison leaders will be organizing among their groups to help prisoners escape. Alternatively the guards player has to try and prevent them from escaping, which is a tall order in this game. If the guards prevent enough prisoners from escaping then they win, else whichever prison leader helped the most of their group escape will be the winner. Look for this game to hit store shelves around mid October.
