Creating a successful project on Kickstarter

reported by Andy Wong

Michael Mindes [founder of Tasty Minstrel Games] sent us an email about a project he worked on regarding Kickstarter. It’s all about being a “Kickstarter Rockstar.” We’ve seen quite a few games get published through Kickstarter [looking at YOU, Alien Frontiers, D-Day Dice, & Eminent Domain]. Kickstarter also lets folks be self-publishers. But it’s a lot of work. Fortunately, someone who has had some success with it is giving away tips and tricks on how to make it happen. Check out the slideshow embedded below, and it’s also worth your time to check out some of the videos and other posts that Michael on his blog over at Tasty Minstrel Games. It’s good stuff, y’all. If you are at all interested in becoming a game designer, and I’m sure most of us have made our own games, then check this out. Nice to have some pro-tips freely available.
