S7 Games has announced the publication War of Three Kingdoms: The Card Game, which is a 2-player only game based on a Japanese game originally published by Sega, Sangokushi Taisen.

In War of Three Kingdoms: The Card Game, the each player will choose General, Tactics, and Army cards in order to strategically play and defeat the other player.

Blacklist Games has launched the Kickstarter campaign for the newest design by Adam and Brady Sadler, Altar Quest. Altar Quest promises to be a cooperative fantasy adventure playable solo or with up to 4 players.

Altar Quest features the same modular deck system that the Sadler brothers introduced into their previous games Street Fighter and Brook City. According to the game’s description, the players each choose a unique hero who comes with their own cards and equipment decks. Then the players choose a quest, villain, and threat deck with which to play. There are no decks that the players need assemble – each of these decks is fixed – but the players may choose to mix and match.

Board & Dice has announced a new title in their line of escape room games, Escape Tales: Low Memory. According to their announcement, the game will be premiered at Spiel 2019.

You need not have played the previous Escape Tales title, Awakening, prior to playing this new version, according to the announcement. The new game features more cards that add more riddles to the game and 3 stories, but only one plot, which features 3 different characters allowing the players to play the game from 3 different perspectives.

In Escape Tales: Low Memory, players are allowed unlimited time on the puzzles, “immersive exploration and a set of hard choices that will immerse you deeply into a riveting story of a cyberpunk future.”

On May 22, 2019, Asmodee announced the launch of the Gamegenic studio, which has declared its mission to be delivering “amazing accessories that protect, support and enrich players’ experiences.” Gamegenic is going to be headed by Adrian Alonso, the man behind the Ultimate Guard products.

The Gamegenic studio is going to be responsible exclusively for gaming accessories such as the traditional sleeves, deck boxes, playmats and dice sets. The new studio also promises to “add new class to the market with accessories for various games and licensed products.”

Egizia: Shifting Sands, being published by Stronghold Games, is now live on Kickstarter. The game promises to give us not only a new, updated edition of the game, but also includes the classic game as one of its Kickstarter exclusives.

The classic Egizia was set in ancient Egypt, as is the new game. In both games, players are attempting to fulfill requests from the pharaoh in order to earn victory points. The new edition of the game, Egizia: Shifting Sands, introduces two new monuments to the game, the Colonnade and statues.
